BTS will stage a blockbuster comeback performance in the heart of Seoul on March 21 ― and the whole world can watch it live.
The group is set to host “BTS The Comeback Live: ARIRANG” at Gwanghwamun Plaza on March 21 at 8 p.m. KST, unveiling the title track and other new songs from their same-titled release for the first time. It marks the first-ever solo concert by an artist at the historic plaza ― a symbolic hometown stage for a milestone moment in BTS’s story.
Back in 2020, BTS delivered striking performances at Gyeongbokgung Palace’s Geunjeongjeon Hall and Gyeonghoeru Pavilion for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s “BTS Week.” Nearly five and a half years later, the group returns to the city center for a defining reset ― a new chapter announced with a one-night-only spectacle.
“BTS The Comeback Live: ARIRANG” will stream in real time through a collaboration with Netflix ― the first major Korea-based event to be broadcast live on the platform to viewers in more than 190 countries and territories. The global livestream underscores BTS’s unmatched reach and the scale of the moment.
“ARIRANG captures our starting point, identity, and the emotions we want to share right now,” BigHit Music said, explaining the decision to premiere the stage at a location that represents Korea. “Given the word’s powerful symbolism, we wanted the first performance in a space that stands for the country.”
The rollout continues March 27 with Netflix’s exclusive documentary “BTS: The Return,” tracing the creative process behind the new album ― from hard-won breakthroughs to the moments that forged “BTS today.”
Out March 20 at 1 p.m. KST, the fifth full-length album “ARIRANG” features 14 tracks exploring identity, longing, and deep love ― universal emotions poised to resonate with fans worldwide.
