G-DRAGON Lights Up Paris at Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes

G-DRAGON brought arena-shaking energy to Paris with a show-stopping performance.

On Jan. 22 (local time), the K-pop star took the stage at La Défense Arena for Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes, France’s flagship charity event. Returning for a second straight year as the gala’s only Korean invitee, he underscored his status as a global icon.

From the first beat, G-DRAGON had the crowd in his grip. This year’s set featured a high-wattage crossover: former Paris Opera Ballet Étoile Aurélie Dupont and France’s famed hip-hop duo Les Twins, best known for their work with Beyoncé. Blending ballet, street dance, and K-pop into a single performance, the collaboration doubled as a statement that art easily transcends language and borders.
His wardrobe delivered signature wit and flair, too. For “TOO BAD,” he leaned into the local vibe with a tricolor-inspired palette, pairing a custom Chanel jacket with an “I ♥ PARIS” top―an irreverent, instantly iconic look that amplified the moment.

Social media lit up after the show, with fans raving: “The live performance was flawless,” “GD brought out Les Twins and ballerina Aurélie Dupont―insane,” and “Paris loves GD.” The praise captured the afterglow of a set already shaping up to be a standout of the season.
