Cha Ga-won, chair of P_Arc Group and head of ONE HUNDRED, pushed back against sensational KakaoTalk leaks tying her to rapper MC Mong, calling the messages fabricated and saying MC Mong has apologized.
On Dec. 24, ONE HUNDRED said in a statement that both the article and the chat logs “are not true,” alleging the messages were created by MC Mong “under coercion from one of Cha’s relatives.” The company claimed the relative threatened MC Mong to force a stock sale in an attempt to seize control of Big Planet Made, and that the doctored chats were circulated during that dispute.
Cha also told Korean outlet The Fact that the KakaoTalk logs made public were not her conversations, arguing MC Mong manufactured them and the outlet ran the story without proper verification.
According to Cha’s side, MC Mong contacted the company after the report “to apologize.” ONE HUNDRED added it plans to take strong legal action against Cha Joon-young and The Fact, vowing a zero-tolerance stance on what it calls malicious smears and the spread of false information.
Earlier, The Fact published what it said were KakaoTalk messages between Cha and MC Mong featuring explicit exchanges about fertility treatments and attempts to conceive, along with references to how frequently they met. The outlet also linked the chats to a legal back-and-forth: Cha reportedly withdrew a loan-repayment claim in June, then refiled in November, with the lawsuit now set at 12 billion won―framing the moves as context for the pair’s relationship.
MC Mong has issued a similar rebuttal, saying that on June 30 there was “an attempt to take over the company” involving fake documents allegedly tied to Cha’s relative and a contract demanding a transfer of shares. He claimed texts drafted for defense were reinterpreted and edited together with non-existent messages to create a misleading narrative, adding that attempts to reach the outlet went unanswered.
