On the Dec. 22 broadcast of SBS’s “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny,” the singer―eight months into newlywed life―appeared as a special MC.
During the show, Ailee shared that a cockroach encounter was the surprising moment that sealed the deal with Choi Si-hoon.
“My husband really hates bugs―he’s so scared he could cry. And I hate them just as much,” she began.
“One day a cockroach got into the house and we both totally panicked―tears and all―begging each other to deal with it. When he saw how terrified I was, he caught it for me, even while crying,” she recalled. “Watching that, I thought, ‘If it’s with him, I can handle anything, no matter how hard or scary.’”
Hearing her story, Seo Jang-hoon joked, “So you fell for him because he caught a cockroach while crying? If some guy you had zero feelings for squashed the world’s biggest roach, would that make you swoon?”
Kim Gu-ra added with a laugh, “Roaches in America are huge. The ones in Korea are tiny―couldn’t Ailee, you have just taken care of it yourself?”
