Actor Chae Jong-hyeop has donated 10 million won to help vulnerable neighbors stay warm this winter.
The Community Chest of Korea said Chae made the contribution and shared a heartfelt message with the charity.
"I wanted to pass along a little hope to my neighbors during the cold months," Chae said. "From filming the campaign to making this donation, I'm honored to play even a small part in spreading a culture of giving."
Before the donation, Chae fronted the charity’s year-end campaign, which broke from standard PSA playbooks by avoiding the word "donation" and instead spotlighting the spark and romance that comes with starting to give. The funds will support winter heating and basic safety for households in need.
Chae recently drew wide attention in Japan with the hit TBS drama "Eye Love You" and continues to stay busy at home. In September, he signed on for MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama "Your Shining Season" (literal translation), fueling anticipation for his next project.
