SEVENTEEN’s HOSHI marked his enlistment day with a surprise gift for fans: a new solo single, 'TAKE A SHOT,' dropping today at 6 p.m. KST.
Pledis Entertainment announced that 'TAKE A SHOT' will hit major streaming platforms this evening.
Built on a rage-inspired hip-hop sound, the track fuses HOSHI’s hard-charging rap with surging synths and guitar for a heavy, high-velocity rush. HOSHI co-wrote the lyrics, channeling his determination and passion as he steps into a new chapter on the group’s 10th anniversary.
HOSHI has kept the pace all year with BSS’s single album 'TELEPARTY,' the HOSHI x WOOZI single 'BEAM,' and SEVENTEEN’s fifth studio set 'HAPPY BURSTDAY.'
He also staged 11 fan-concert dates across five cities in Korea and abroad, drawing more than 100,000 attendees. As a soloist, he’s sharpened his sound with releases like 'Spider,' 'Tiger (feat. Tiger JK),' and 'Damage (HOSHI Solo) (feat. Timbaland).'
HOSHI enters active-duty service in the Korean Army today. He’s the fourth SEVENTEEN member to fulfill mandatory service, following JEONGHAN, WONWOO, and WOOZI. JEONGHAN enlisted last September and is currently on alternative service, WONWOO entered in April, and WOOZI enlisted one day earlier, on the 15th.
