[SBS Entertainment News | Kang Kyung-youn] SM Entertainment has introduced its new 8-member girl group, Hearts2Hearts, marking its first release in over four years since aespa.

Hearts2Hearts, which means "Connecting Hearts," showcased their debut stage at the launch event for their first single, "The Chase," held at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, starting at 2 PM on the 24th. The group fully demonstrated the charm of a multi-member girl group with their addictive, dreamy melodies and choreography reminiscent of blooming flowers.

Yuha commented, "The advantage of having many members is the synergy we create when we come together," adding with a laugh, "There aren't really any downsides, but it does take a bit longer to prepare."

Additionally, Hearts2Hearts features the only Indonesian member in a K-pop girl group, which has drawn attention even before their debut. Carmen expressed her excitement, saying, "I’m really happy to debut as a K-pop artist after passing the SM Entertainment audition. My family and friends are all congratulating and supporting me, especially my sister, who is a K-pop fan, making my debut even more special."

Hearts2Hearts debuted in a year that marks the 30th anniversary of SM Entertainment. Carmen, who considers BoA her role model, expressed her deep affection for SM artists. Ian also stated, "It’s an honor to debut in such a special year," adding, "We will work hard to create a bright future, just like our seniors and the staff have done for us."

The group is determined to connect with global fans through their music, just as their name suggests. They plan to expand their global activities through overseas performances, concerts, and fan meetings. Member Juun confidently expressed, "I really want to win the rookie award that can only be won once this year."

Hearts2Hearts' debut album includes two tracks: "The Chase" and the B-side "Butterflies." Carmen, the only Indonesian member, described the debut song, saying, "I loved it as soon as I heard it. It has a unique sound base that creates a dreamy and mysterious vibe," speaking fluently in Korean.

The title track "The Chase" features a blend of dreamy sound sources and vocal melodies, creating a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere. The track is characterized by its strong and unique bass synths, with a mood change throughout, and the lyrics convey a confident message of "I will create my own path."

Hearts2Hearts' first single, "The Chase," will be released on the 24th at 6 PM.
